merry christmas - part 1

its over already - just kidding! it is take-numero-uno of christmas! you know how it goes, one family is here for christmas, the other is over there but you want to have it together - SOOOO you have 2! makes sense and we get to be gluttons for an extra day! so on the weekend we had the first one and it was fantastic......cool people, cool prezzies, a few drinkies and a GOOSE! ok i am not going to lie, like all chirstmases there is a touch of drama and when we pulled the black goose out of the oven there was more than just oven heat in the kitchen but alas! it was just the honey glaze and the goose was sensational thanks to my chefy hubbie! Here's the new-age slide show - but i will never get sick of the old style - there is no interval so get a coffee now!

ahhhh yes a family affair, pets n all. there's just nothing better. hope you all have a wonderful, safe and much loved christmas. try and take some time to chill out and i quote the famous philosopher -
Ferris Bueller:
'life moves pretty fast,
if you don't stop and take a look around once n a while -
you could miss it!'

festivus

yes the time has come to drag out the tree, brush off the dust and get festivus off and racing. Inspired by this months 'Country Style' magazine (the cutest, cosiest styling magazine out) I have in a very laid-back-festive-spirit kind of way become the decoration nazi - and thats ok....ok! you will hear words like - subtlety - muted tones - dusty pastels being thrown around over a glass of champagne with some bad carol' singing just to freak out the kids........ahhhhh yes festivus is here

THE CULPRIT - SERIOUSLY IF YOU DON'T ALREADY HAVE ONE - DO IT!

AND THIS IS WHAT HAPPENS IN THE HOUSE - LET THE FUN BEGIN:

YES YES MORE INSPIRATION:

back before i ever had a christmas tree after moving out of home, i had a chair and used to sing 'oh christmas chair, oh christmas chair, your seat is full of presents' - it was a director chair back in the day - so this little installation is my ode to the christmas chair from past.....

its a bit of a beach meets the bush christmas for us living on the coast but enjoying treetop views. Have just moved and loving the new pad - ordered a goose for the big day - yumbo, haven't had a goose in a long time......

SUNDAY LUNCH: although i do try to put the camera down occasionally as it is my crust and full time vocation when sun shines on your lunch like this you just have to say wot the hell and grab out the ol girl!

for those who continue to check out vent-spaces it has been a crazy year and work commitments have seen a neglected bloggy - but alas no more - could it be the fresh country air - is it the wide open views.....i don't really know but i'm excited and want to vent it!
